VIDEO: Manchester City 0-0 Everton | The Final Word

return to archives

On this episode of Toffee TV, Ped and Baz are joined by Ross Cummins to look back at Everton’s draw with Man City at the Etihad Stadium.

Everton started the game with Tim Howard back in goal and Leon Osman in left midfield and both had and both were involved in major incidents in the game. Howard, who has come under increased pressure to be dropped recently was man of the match, stopping attack after attack from City, especially in the second half.

Osman came closest to breaking the deadlock for Everton, when his first half volley thundered narrowly past Joe Hart’s post, almost becoming a goal of the season contender.

Everton rode their luck late on when John Stones, playing at right back, slid and upended Raheem Sterling in the box, but amazing referee Roger East turned down the City protested and shortly blew for full time.
